Options - Proxy

Parameters of HTTP and FTP proxy-servers.

Your organization may use a proxy server to regulate access to the Internet, and prevent external computers from accessing company networks. If your organization uses a proxy server, you may need to configure Download Master to use that server.

Use MS Internet Explorer proxy-server settings
If this option is checked Download Master will automatically use your Internet Explorer proxy-server settings.

Proxy-servers

Use HTTP proxy-server
If the flag is set then DM will use the specified proxy-server for downloading files with HTTP. You can add/select server in the proxy-servers manager.

Use HTTPS proxy-server
If the flag is set then DM will use the specified proxy-server for downloading files with HTTPS. You can add/select server in the proxy-servers manager.

Use FTP proxy-server
If the flag is set then DM will use the specified proxy-server for downloading files with FTP. You can add/select server in the proxy-servers manager.

Do not use proxy-server for the following addresses
If this flag is set, then DM will not use proxy-servers for downloads from the specified servers. Addresses have to be written in a single line and be separated by spaces. Examples:
10.0.0.*:21
192.168.*.*
10.0.0.*:80
192.168.*.*
*westbyte.com
*.ru
10.0.0.*:80
192.168.*.*

( i ) <local> - all hosts which do not have "." in a name.


Proxy-servers manager
Proxy-servers listed here can be used as general program settings, settings for particular sites or particular downloads. You can add, change or delete servers.

Proxy-server settings:
Proxy-server type
Specify the type of a proxy-server which you want to use.
( i ) In most cases proxy-servers have "HTTP <Get>" type.

Find
Proxy-server settings will be taken from Internet Explorer settings.

Server
Address of a proxy-server you want to use.

Port
Proxy-server port.

User
Specify user name (login) if the proxy-server requires user name and password.

Password
Specify password if the proxy-server requires user name and password.

Do not use cache
If the flag is set then DM will not use the cache of this proxy-server.

Passive mode
If the flag is set then DM will use passive mode for work by FTP when connected to this proxy-server.
